The iPrep Academy Renovation projects are Federally Funded, Grant projects, in which high paced construction consists of the demolition and remodeling of two or three, existing traditional classroom spaces, depending on which school, combined into 2,000 SF, open, multi-use, advanced wireless technology learning spaces. Work will include interior demolition of nonstructural walls, new interior, and perimeter framing and drywall, new high efficiency LED lighting, repair and replacement of ceiling grid and tile, and new carpet tiling. Final classroom layouts will include interactive smartboards with projectors, flat-screen televisions, conference room-style presentation areas, lounge-type seating areas with student learning conducted through 60 school-furnished laptops. Classrooms renovations took place at the following schools: West Miami Middle School, Riviera Middle School, Ruben Dario Middle School, and Paul W. Bell Middle School.
