MIAMI-DADE SOUTH DISTRICT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

The project consists of providing electrical service to all the new and upgraded facilities within the SDWWTP that will support the HLD upgrades and capacity rating increase to 285 mgd. The scope of work under this contract includes nearly four miles of Florida Power and Light (FPL) duct banks and switches and associated conduit and cables, construction of the Electrical Distribution Building No.2 and its associated equipment including furnishing and installing 13 kV and 5 kV electrical switchgears, construction of a control room, furnishing and installing seven (7) 2.6 MW (minimum) diesel engine driven 900 rpm generators, construction of a bulk fuel storage facilities with four - 50,000 gallon above ground storage tanks, construction of fuel pumping facilities and fuel truck transfer facilities; furnishing and installing of 13 kV electrical service feed and transformers and related facilities and all other appurtenant items for a complete and functional project. The work is phased to ensure expeditious implementation of services with other HLD construction contracts, including twenty-two 13kV transformers in structures provided under other contracts.
