PEDRO "PETE" M. MUNILLA
VICE PRESIDENT - PROCUREMENT
As Vice President and head of our Pre-Construction and Procurement services, Pedro Manuel or “Pete”, oversees and manages business development, pursuits of new opportunities, estimating functions, and strategic sourcing for StrongCore. Being instrumental in over a billion dollars’ worth of estimating pursuits, he’s well versed in hard bid, design-build, and construction management contracting methods in both Infrastructure and Vertical Construction projects. His responsibilities include supporting the projects' execution and fulfillment of the company's mission of Building Excellence.
Pete grew up around job sites and started spending most of his summers working in the field at the age of 13. His first job as a general laborer instilled an appreciation for the hard work and dedication it takes to get a job done right. After graduating college, he worked his way up from field engineer, to superintendent, to project manager. In all, Pete has over 16 years of comprehensive experience in complex construction. His areas of expertise include heavy civil construction, project management, resource management, equipment management, design coordination, cost management, and scheduling.

As an operations director in Panama, Pete managed the award-winning Inspection, Evaluation, and Design-Build of the Rehabilitation of the Bridge of the Americas; Omar Torrijos Bridge; Foresta double elevated U-turns; Linea Occidente Water Main; Mercado Publico of Panama; Guabito Water Treatment Plant and Water Distribution; and the Centenario Bridge.
Pete earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from Florida State University and is a licensed General and General Engineering Contractor and a Certified Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor.
