Alejandro L. Munilla serves as the Director of Civil Operations for StrongCore Group. In this position, he leads, manages, and directs policy development, programming, planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance activities of all Civil Works, a $20 million annual program. He oversees the work of over 30 employees. Mr. Munilla is a leader in the civil construction field: ensuring safety compliance, accelerating project delivery, transforming project financing, and budgeting.

 

Alex is a registered professional engineer and has over 13 years of comprehensive experience in complex construction projects in the heavy civil, municipal, bridge, and roadway market sectors. He currently sits as Vice President on the Board of Engineering Contractors Association of S. FL and is a former board member of the Small Business Enterprise Construction Advisory Board.

 

Alex grew up around construction job sites. He started working summer jobs as a general laborer, and with professional engineering, design, and survey firms as well.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and began working as a Professional Engineer in Training with the Florida Department of Transportation out of college. As a P.E. Trainee with FDOT D5, he was provided broad, practical experience in Design, Construction, Maintenance, and other fields of transportation engineering, which ultimately led to licensure as a Professional Engineer in Florida and General Contractor.
